Strap Install

Removing and replacing a watch strap is easy and no you don’t have to take it to the jewelry store!

So here’s how it works:

Tools required:

  • Spring Bar tool (pictured)
  • Flat surface
  • Soft padding, towel, or otherwise to protect watch components

Traditional strap:

Step 1 – On the underside of the watch identify spring bar location under the metal bracelet or for leather straps pull the strap away from the lug slightly to expose the spring bar.

Step 2 – Place the fork of the spring bar tool around the end of the spring bar closest to the lug and pull away from the lug.  This should allow for the strap be released.

Step 3 – Repeat on the other side of the strap.

Step 4 – Remove spring bars and place in your new Rebel Savant strap.

Step 5 – Place one end of the spring bar (that is in the strap) into its hole in the lug, then using the spring bar tool or quick release bars, pull back the other side of the spring bar and push into its hole on the other lug.

Step 6- Immediately place watch on your wrist, admire your purchase and realize you should probably have 4 or 5 more.  No seriously, you should buy more from us.  It’s a good idea, just saying.

Nato Strap:

Step 1 – Remove the spring bars from the watch.

Step 2 – Place watch upside down on flat soft surface and locate Nato strap in between lugs.  D loop at the end of the short part of strap should be located just past the lugs at the 6 on the dial.  You need to make sure you install leather Nato’s this way.  By trying to pull the leather over and under the installed spring bars you will rub the top surface of the leather and make it look like you know what.  We don’t want to tell you we told you so, so READ THIS CAREFULLY again.  Do it, read it again.

Step 3 - Install spring bar pins over the long portion of the strap leaving the short end free.

Step 4 – Run the long end of the strap through the D loop and immediately place on wrist to enhance your awesomeness by 3.7 times.
